On the morning of our journey to the NNPDF's Annual Conference in North Carolina, Jacob was placed on the living room rug in the home of his great-grandmother, Florence. Within a very short period of time, the early morning sunlight - filtered by a small crystal ball on a window lamp - created these two rainbows for Jacob's amusement. Although a novel experience for the family, Florence, who was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast , did subsequently inform us that this effect occurs occasionally at this time of the year. However, its significance for us was enhanced by the fact that the NNPDF's Logo is the 'Rainbow'.
